UpperWest welcomes a Neopolitan Pizza Pop Up with Damian Barneschi and Rebecca Schauer
Over the past three years, husband and wife team Damian Barneschi and Rebecca Schauer have hosted pizza popup dinners for friends and fellow foodies in their North Cambridge apartment and are excited to host their first event at UpperWest.
The dough for these traditional Neapolitan-style pizzas is made with a natural sourdough starter and utilizes an extended fermentation to achieve maximum flavor and a light, airy crumb. The 13" pies cook in under 90 seconds and exhibit a puffy, spotted outer crust and an extremely tender, slightly wet center.
Diners will have a choice of four pizzas, and salad and dessert can also be purchased at the event. UpperWest will also have their menu of cheese, charcuterie, and a full bar open, with a lovely wine and whiskey selection.
The menu options will be as follows:
$8 Arugula, fennel, pear, hazelnuts and ricotta salata with a truffle vinaigrette
$15 Margherita (fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, fresh basil, EVOO)
$15 Filetti (fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh garlic, EVOO)
$17 Pepperoni (fresh mozzarella, Vermont Smoke & Cure pepperoni, tomato sauce)
$15 Mushroom (fresh mozzarella, crimini and shiitake mushrooms, fresh rosemary, fresh garlic)
$3 Two traditional (anise) made-to-order pizzelle dusted with powdered sugar
Diners are encouraged to purchase their pizzas in advance through the following PayPal link, as only a limited number of dough balls will be prepared for the event: paypal.me/DBarneschi
